OC Construction - Assistance is needed in the following areas for help in construction of the new Ornithology Center. Finish Carpenter: for molding and Car Siding Licensed Plumber: small plumbing project, cold water supply and drain to water cooler. Licensed Electrician: install a few new outlets and Lights Painting: Habitat, exhibit and wall painting Drywall: Hang, mud, tape, sand Wildlife Artist (wanna-be) - People to help cut out and make plants, flowers, and leaves for the habitats Clean up These are very exciting opportunities for people with the right skills to contribute to the Ornithology Center. ART SHOW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES! Throughout the year Eagle Creek hosts four art shows during the months of February, June, September and December. Below is a list of opportunities for those interested in helping out. Our next show is: Celebration of Nature Art Exhibit and Sale! DATE: Dec. 6 – 14th TIME: Mon – Sat. 9am-5pm Sun. 1-5pm For questions or to sign up please call Brittany @ 327–1196 SET UP & TAKE DOWN (Week of show) - Help put up wire art racks, tables both before and after the show. (Heavy lifting required). - Help Hang up and Take Down artwork during the week of the show. OFFICE TASKS: (1 week before the show) - Printing art show programs, brochures, nametags and thank you cards the week before the show. (This requires driving to the Park Office) - Printing and placing artwork tags during the week of the show. (This is done at the EDC) FUNDRAISING (0-3 months before show) - Hanging up posters around town a couple months before the show. (This requires driving) - Finding various businesses that would donate prizes such as gift certificates or monetary donations. RECEPTION (Night before show) - Assisting with setting out food, putting away food and overall presentation. - Making sure condiments and food are replenished as needed. - Cleaning up after the reception is over. - Greeting artists as they come in and other various tasks DURING SHOW (On weekends only) - Greeting visitors as they enter the building and passing out programs - Various tasks as needed top of page
